Head coach, Jacksonville Waves

Jessica Bogia brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and a proven record of player development, recruiting, and program building across all levels of women’s basketball. She spent 14 years at the NCAA Division I level, with key stops at Hofstra, Jacksonville University, and the University of Memphis. At Hofstra, she revitalized the program’s recruiting pipeline and culture, while at Jacksonville she played a pivotal role in one of the nation’s largest single-season turnarounds, highlighted by a 12-win improvement and a victory over a Big Ten opponent. At Memphis, she delivered three consecutive Top 35 nationally ranked recruiting classes, including the AAC’s No. 1 class in 2019 that featured future WNBA draft pick Dulcy Fankham Mendjiadeu. 

Her career also includes impactful stints at Eastern Illinois, Buffalo, Keystone College, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and Goldey-Beacom College. Beyond the collegiate ranks, she made her mark in grassroots development with the Philadelphia Belles AAU program, coaching five future WNBA players and strengthening her passion for mentoring the next generation of athletes. With a résumé defined by competitive success and player-first leadership, Bogia continues to build a legacy of excellence in women’s basketball.
